DramaWay is eager to offer yet another program to the GTA community. During this 11-week YogaWorks session participants will learn the basics of the yoga postures, breathing and relaxation techniques.
Yoga is an integrated series of postures that increase body awareness, strength and flexibility. It is a gentle and therapeutic practice that enhances the natural healing abilities of the body and mind. Yoga affects the body on many observable and subtle levels. It works on the body on a structural level by helping to align the spine, strengthening muscles and creating flexibility and movement in connective tissues. Yoga also affects internal organs by increasing the efficiency of the digestive, cardiovascular, lymphatic, pulmonary, and endocrine and nervous systems. The body improves its facility for the body to function at its maximum potential and the result is increased mental clarity and emotional stability. Yoga’s techniques are adaptable to individuals of ALL abilities and accessible for any physical requirements. Rebecca Paterson will be the DramaWay Yoga Facilitator. She has practiced Yoga for 20 years and has been training to be a Yoga Instructor for over the past two years at The School of Natural Medicine and Yoga Therapy in Toronto. She also brings with her a wealth of experience in the field of disabilities.
Individuals of ALL abilities ages 12 and up! Beginners welcome!
