Dance Facilitator/Choreographer

Catherine O’Mara

Catherine O’Mara is a Graduate of the Quinte Ballet School of Canada and holds an Advanced diploma in the Cecchetti method of classical ballet.  She has danced with the Joffery Ballet of New York, The State Street Ballet of Santa Barbara, and the Cuballet where she performed the role of Alegria in the Ballet Don Quixote in Havana’s Teatro Nacional.  She recently graduated from Trent University and the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Education degree in English and Dramatic Arts and a Master of Arts degree in English and Theatre Studies.  She has volunteerd at the Grandview Children's Centre for Students with Special Needs and enjoys salsa dancing in her free time.  Currently, she teaches dance in the Durham region and works for the Durham District School Board.  Dance styles she has taught include ballet, modern, lyrical, jazz, salsa and merengue. She is excited to join the DramaWay team as their Choreographer in their East End RhythmWorks Performance.
